All the Gear, No Idea: A woman's solo motorcycle journey around the Indian subcontinent, by Michele Harrison

I just finished reading 'All the Gear, No Idea: A woman's solo motorcycle journey across the Indian subcontinent' from Michelle Harrison.

There are no surprises there, it is a book about a motorcycle trip in India. She is an American, grown up in France and working in London who find herself in her thirties at a finance job and wondering if that was going to be all. Leave the job, leave the boyfriend and go to India to buy an Enfield Bullet 500 sounded just right for her.

The trip lasted for a year or so, and she talks about her adventures (mostly about how she was helped) and the mechanical struggles to keep the bike running.

It is an easy read, and the story is quite enjoyable.
