DDD in Galway

The friends in GAMTUG (Galway Area Microsoft Technologies Users Group) will have a DeveloperDeveloperDeveloper day next Saturday May 3rd 2008. A very impressive group of speakers signed to be there, after the talks will be time to talk again, and the following day they will do a pilgrimage to Father Ted’s Craggy Island. Looks like a very good way to spend part of the bank holiday.

Registration is free.

Open to the world

Since June 2007 I am working in Customer Minds. This is a startup company and I am doing the server side of a web application to simplify the life of marketing people.

The program is pretty cool and it is really just starting taking shape (even than just the server is around 220 KLOC and growing), with a long queue of new features and enhancements under development. You can have a look at some videos, or sign for a free trial.

The server side is done with Visual Studio 2008 (I am using it since the first week I started in the job) and hosted in virtual machines with Windows 2008. The front end is programmed in Adobe Flex, and part of the plan is to have an Air application as well, to work disconnected.
